Overview

What is iv drip therapy?

What it is

IV drip therapy delivers fluids and a blend of nutrients directly into the bloodstream via a small cannula, in a calm and comfortable environment.

Who it's for

It's for adults looking for a relaxing wellness treatment as part of their self-care routine. Suitability is always checked against your medical history first.

When to consider it

Clients often book an IV drip as dedicated time out, or as a regular part of a wellness routine.

Why expertise matters

Placing a cannula and choosing a blend requires proper training and a medical history review. Rae has completed certified training in IV drip therapy and is a registered healthcare professional.

Before you book

Common mistakes
to avoid

A wellness treatment should still be approached carefully.

Skipping the consultation

Your medical history must be reviewed before any drip. This is non-negotiable at New Aesthetics.

Believing exaggerated claims

Be wary of anywhere promising cures or dramatic health effects. New Aesthetics describes IV drips as a wellness treatment only.

Choosing a blend without guidance

The blend is chosen following consultation, not from a menu alone.

Our process

Five considered steps

Step 1 – Get in touch

Call 07457 414718 or send the enquiry form. Tell Rae what you'd like to change, or simply that you'd like advice. You'll be offered a consultation at the Chelmsford or Maldon clinic.

Step 2 – Consultation

A thorough, unhurried conversation about your goals, lifestyle and medical history. Rae assesses your skin and features, explains the options honestly, including when a treatment isn't the right choice, and a patch test is carried out where appropriate. Where required, treatments are prescribed by an independent prescriber following a face-to-face consultation.

Step 3 – Cooling-off period

Before any treatment goes ahead, you'll have time to reflect. There's no pressure to book on the day. This is especially important for first-time clients, so every decision is a considered one.

Step 4 – Treatment

Your treatment is carried out in a calm clinical setting, following the plan agreed at consultation. Rae talks you through each stage so you know exactly what's happening.

Step 5 – Aftercare & review

Your care doesn't end when you leave the clinic. In the rare event of a complication or adverse reaction, we will look after you and any corrective treatment is provided free of charge. You'll receive clear aftercare guidance, and can contact the clinic with any questions afterwards.

In detail

IV Drip Therapy:
what to know

What an IV drip appointment involves.

Before your drip

Your medical history is reviewed and the blend is chosen following consultation. Where required, treatments are prescribed by an independent prescriber following a face-to-face consultation.

During the drip

A small cannula is placed and the drip runs while you relax. Rae remains on hand throughout.

After your drip

The cannula is removed and you'll receive aftercare guidance before you leave.

A wellness treatment

IV drip therapy is offered as a relaxing wellness treatment. No health or medical claims are made about its effects.

Preparing for treatment

Safety, suitability
and what to expect

Before your consultation

Make a note of any medical conditions, medicines, supplements and allergies, plus any previous aesthetic treatments and when you had them. This helps Rae review your medical history accurately and tailor, or, where needed, adjust, your plan to keep you safe. If you have an important event coming up, mention it so treatment can be timed sensibly.

Questions worth asking

What result is realistic for me? How many sessions might I need? What does aftercare involve, and who do I contact if something doesn't feel right? A good practitioner welcomes these questions. Rae will answer them openly and will tell you if a treatment isn't the right choice for you.

On the day

Arrive with a clean face where possible and allow time to go through consent and any final questions. Nothing goes ahead until you're comfortable, and first-time clients will already have had a cooling-off period since their consultation.
